HEAVEN?
If you died today and stood before the Lord and He asked you, “Why should I let you into My heaven?” what would your answer be? This is an all-important question and I don’t mean to over-simplify the answer, but it really is as
simple as “A, B, C!
A: You must Admit, or acknowledge that you are a sinner!
Romans 3:10, “There is none righteous, no not one.”
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
We must see ourselves in the light of God’s Word. We are all sinners! You must Admit, Acknowledge, be Aware of the fact that, as a sinner, you owe a penalty.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death!”
The Bible here is speaking of spiritual death, separation from God for eternity in a place called Hell!
B: You must Believe that Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty for our sin and that eternal salvation can be received as a free gift from God!
Romans 6:23, “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:8, But God commendeth (showed) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
That gift is received by simple faith in the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross.
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
C: You must Call on Him by faith, Confessing and Repenting of (turning from) your sin and trusting Him as your Savior!
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Belief—faith is the key!
Please understand that your eternal salvation is far too important to gamble with! Why not pray this simple prayer: “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I know I deserve hell. I believe that you died for me to pay the penalty I owe. Right now, as best as I know how, I trust you as my Savior. Please save my soul and forgive me all my sins.
Thank you for saving me. Amen”
If you have prayed this prayer we would love to hear about it and help you if you so desire to grow in the Lord and begin a productive Christian life.
